A leader in nonprofit strategy and marketing, Tom Peterson headed marketing and communications at Heifer International for almost two decades. Under his leadership annual marketing revenue grew from $3 million to $90 million. During Peterson’s tenure Heifer was featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, 60 Minutes and West Wing. Peterson taught marketing for nonprofits at the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock for 15 years and manages communications for Stakeholder Health, a learning collaborative of health systems. In the 1980s, he edited Seeds, a magazine about U.S. and world hunger.
